Ambal’s Call

Few years ago my daughter was working hard to get admission into medical school – a year she had already lost and for the current year we were waiting tensely for the admission results.

Priya was new to Dallas I think and she was looking for ladies for her pooja – through my MIL I got an invite to attend the pooja.

On the day of pooja, with lot of apprehensions of not knowing the host personally I parked the car. I thought I heard someone calling me – assumed it was someone from inside – the room from where I heard the voice, was the pooja room. I still remember the majestic “vaa” and it gives me goosebumps as I relive the moment.

With Priya I felt an instant connection. I did the pooja and brought my daughter to Priya’s house to pray – she drew Ambal sitting quietly before Her.

In a week she got admission and the following month we went to India and visited Samayapuram. Now my daughter is a resident in one of the hospitals in Dallas area.

My belief in Mariamman has strengthened several folds – any issue I reach out to Priya and request to visit her house, and always the issue gets a solution automatically. Ambal has been a guiding force in my life and special thanks to Priya for her generosity in keeping an open house for devotees.
